Eufros "Boreal" (minty-lavender)
Minty-lavender is what I detect for (low-medium-powered here) scent . . . very reminiscent of Joserra's Brihuega. Lavender, to my knowledge, does not thrive in the taiga, so "Boreal" would seem to be a misnomer; maybe it's being used very loosely, intended to suggest freshness. Fir, pine, and spruce—consistent with a boreal forest—might be expected, but who said soap names have to be descriptive?
"Face-Hugger" would be descriptive, as that's what these luscious fats did. After two latherings, I just kept applying water to the face, and there was abundant, ongoing residual there to enable all the stubble-chasing passes in the world. Skin still feels very conditioned, even hours later.
For me, this soap is a winner.
However much you may acquire, you will always wish to acquire more; satiety is a dream which will always elude you. — Bertrand Russell on shaving soap

Crema da Barba (Santa Maria Novella) cool tobacco
Shave 16
I heard that this cream makes a very slick lather, but I haven’t figured out how to bring out the best of it yet. Even after I watered the lather generously, my shave today came out only alright, nothing exceptional. In fact, I called it quits after only one pass. Still, I like the smell, a creamy concoction of vanilla, tobacco, eucalyptus, and camphor.
