The Accidental Soap

Light-ish Red was a mispick on an order.  Of course, I had to at least sniff the thing . . . and in doing so, bashed my nose into the soap, thereby becoming its owner.

Scent is light (3.5/10), fresh-ish, and cologney.

Glastonbury would've been my next Stirling, as I've heavily favoured the mutton tallow and fancy that scent, but maybe that mutton preference was overdone: this is creamy and shaves well.  It's also left a well-conditioned post-feel.  If the beefs are about as good, that sure opens up the world of Stirling scents.

I have no idea what’s in this soap. The writing on the label is too small. But it lathers nice. Thick and slick. In that respect, it’s a lot like Eufros or Joserra. And it smells divine. I get all kinds of posy notes, and sweet melon-like fruity bits, and lots of sun-ripe pears, and tea leaves, and rough-hewn slivery cedar, and a whiff or two of rosy geranium. If this is what a spring morning on LaSalle street smells like, then I’m going to have to pull my pegs out of the sand and move to St Louis.

TommyCarioca, you beat me to Man from Mayfair. Great choice for this May Day morning.

Very nice SOTD photo Dave. Question how do you like that razor? I’ve been hearing it’s extremely smooth.
