Tobacco (Eufros) banana bread
Shave 4

I’ve given this some serious thought, and I’ve decided that this “Tobacco” really smells like banana bread batter – the wet goop you mix up before putting the loaf in the oven. It’s fruity, spicy, and it’s sort of doughy. I don’t think it’s a bad smell. In fact, I like it. It’s just not tobacco. Still, the base is awesome. It yields a lather that is so thick and slick I had to check the razor to see if there was a blade in it. Post is top notch too.

Brush .... Wald A1 Synthetic (29mm)
Soap ..... Los Jabones de Joserra Orris Root
Razor .... Karve Overlander (stainless)
Blade .... Wizamet Iridium Super
Post ..... Witch Hazel (w/alcohol)
Post ..... CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum
Post ..... Seven Minerals Aloe Vera Gel
Finish ... Dior Homme Parfum (2014)

I borrowed a page from Bouki's playbook for tonight's shave, and went with Joserra's Orris Root.  I am among the LJDJ fan boy's who post in this thread, and Orris Root is one of my many LJDJ favs.  The Dior Homme is also a fav of mine.  FWIW almost 10,000 Fragrantica respondents vote Tuscan Iris, Leather, and Sandalwood as its three most prominent notes, all of which fits nicely with the Orris Root scent profile.  Lastly, I switched from the aluminum to the stainless Overlander tonight - also a loaner from my very good friend.  As expected, the stainless did a fine job, but I could tell that the aluminum is a better fit for me.

Maybe if you put paint thinner in your banana bread.  Are you getting that note?  Chemical, petroleum, plastic, kerosene . . . something?  Maybe brown banana peels that have been through a house fire?  Banana peels and burning tires?

I keep sniffing it, though: it must be an entertaining little thing to pretend to be horrified by.  I wonder if the repeated smelling is brain-training, self-acclimating to something novel and somewhat off-putting.

Blazing Bananas is my first/only Eufros: do the scents of the rest of them align any better with their names?

Lovely scent here; if only it were as powerful as Blazing Bananas.
