Pre ...... CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar
Brush .... Elite Arizona Jade (26mm)
Soap ..... ETHOS Tortola (F Base)
Razor .... Karve Overlander (Aluminum)
Blade .... Wizamet Iridium Super
Post ..... ETHOS Tortola SFS
Finish ... ETHOS Succès EDP

The Overlander shined again on this shave's lighter beard.  I give it five out of five stars, and labeling it a "keeper" would be a no-brainer for me if it weren't a loaner.  The Tortola was just as pleasant.  The scent opens up nicely when wet, and the lather is top notch.  Lastly, there are places I remember, and OTBE I like soaps that take me there.  For Tortola, the places are warm sunny beaches with pretty women and drinks that include rum and pineapple.  The pineapple forward Succès fit in very well with that.

That’s a great looking SOTD photo. Thank you for sharing it. I’m curious what is that grid made of?
You're welcome Frank, and thanks for the kind words.

The grid is a "KOHLER Storable Silicone Dish Drying Mat".  This one is 7"x11".  It's dishwasher safe and can be rolled up too.  I ran across it about 6 years ago, but unfortunately, I could not find it again when I went looking some time back.  However, I have been wanting a slightly larger mat, and your question prompted me to snoop around Amazon, which has beaucoup choices.  FWIW I picked up this 9" x 12" mat - pretty close to the perfect size for me - at 2 for $8.99.

Eucalyptus Piperita (Joserra) peppermint water
Shave 1

Eucalyptus Piperita is a watery peppermint with a whiff of light floral notes to the side. It’s very clean. The peppermint gives the lather a moderate chill – not frostbitey, just refreshing – while the eucalyptus stays in the background. I can see how this soap will be a summertime favorite.

Southsider, you’re right! Tuberose is used in many Hawaiian leis. They are super sweet and powerful. Too much for me, really. I have to stick to kukui nut or ti leaf leis. They have very little smell. Tuberose is also expensive, so the kids in our neighborhood strip our plumerias to make leis for school graduations. They’re almost as fragrant as tuberose, especially on a hot day.

Joserra’s soaps are making it hard for me to dip my brush into anything else. A couple weeks ago, my skin was getting so sensitive I could use only one razor, the Vector Ti with a SoftGuard blade. I even had to bail after only one pass. Now, after a week with Joserra, my hide’s hale an hearty again. I’m picking up razors that I haven’t touched for months, and I’m getting close comfortable shaves with them. What’s more, I’m really liking Joserra’s scents. I have other brands that perform as well, but none smells as good as these Spanish soaps. I only wish Joserra would make a plumeria soap.

Bluegrass-we are living large! They seem to be brighter this year. Was it because our winter was so long and Grey? !
