I’m hitting my stride. Each shave is using about a gram of soap, and that means that with luck and a good tail wind we’ll have this jar all cleaned up by the end of the year. For those of you who are wondering about the shave count in the heading, I zeroed it out and started the count fresh on March 21. That was when I blended the Agrumes with the Vétyver, weighed it (247g), and then repacked the jar. The soap was flat even with the lip of the jar then, looking just like it did when I first opened it five years ago. It appears that Martin de Candre’s 200g jars actually hold about 250g of soap.
