What soap/cream did you use today?

This old puck still smells good, a deep rich fougère of the old school, but I was surprised by how thin and fluffy today’s lather turned out. I think the brush, a Semogue boar, was the reason. Lately I’ve had trouble getting a truly thick and glossy lather with a boar. The ease that comes with using a floppy synthetic seems to have ruined my lather-making skills with anything else.

Tallow Tabac. 

Last summer I tested the tallow Tabac against the new tallow free version. Did the same in the past ten days or so and am totally convinced they ruined it. 

The original scent (I love it) is better than the new version. So many great soaps on offer these days but the performance of tallow Tabac is unsurpassed by any soap made today, home made or commercial in my use of course. 

I love tallow.

Ethos - Dragonsbeard  (F base v4) - My first experience with Dragonsbeard. Needless to say, I went in with high expectations. I was not disappointed ! Exceeded my elevated expectations on all levels. Was very fortunate to acquire two tubs !! May take it for a second spin around the den in the morning

I also used a tallow Haslinger puck this morning...
