Santa treated me well this year – I discovered a sizable glass jar of Ishtar beneath the festive tree. Its fragrance is a delightful blend of woodiness, florals, and subtle spice, reminiscent of other ouds but without the overpowering skank. It’s the color of wet concrete, and the texture is soft and dense thanks to the various clays within.

Just taking a break. Travels interrupted my quest to finish the Martin de Candre, and then I found this under the tree. I'll crack open the Vétyver again one of these days.

I can't say I blame you. A Jar of MdC is quite the undertaking. Even with artisan soaps, I've never attempted a 3017 on a barely used puck. There is something satisfying about using the same soap for awhile, though. It'll be interesting to see if 2024 is the year you'll see an empty tub - whether it's MdC, or something else. We'll cheer you on, Bouki!
