I used Barrister and Mann omnibus shave soaps for the last couple of shaves

a few days ago, Leviathan scent paired with a big Acca Kappa silvertip badger

and for yesterdays shave, Cologne Russe soap paired with a Wald synthetic bulb brush

The lather I get using the different synthetic knots is really nice. If I load of the puck and get enough product, I get it to a good gooey and runny lather

Shaves good and leaves the skin feeling good on the rinse

Fantastic choice!  I have about a dozen MW soaps and really need to use them more often...still one of the greatest soap bases available!

HS, yes sir. Thanks for your feedback. I almost modified my post as this was a top 5 shave for me this year. I used to wrestle with this base trying to get an acceptable lather but solved with 3 adjustments. Synthetic knot, very slow addition of water as one builds the lather and using the bloomed puck as a shave stick. These revisions to routine make the base grand. Especially the post as you know! Going to use this base more this year. The problem for me is the scent library is not like Frank's. I find several of them to be synthetic and they don't get me going like Ethos or GD.

The Black Friday Sales resulted in quite a few new soaps arriving in the den.  This Strike Gold Shave soap is a 1st for me and holy cow...this is a great base.  Well worth the $5 sale price!!!
