Puristic Style (Meißner Tremonia) Muscs Koublai Khan
Shave 4 ・ 81 g left
This soap came unscented, so I dumped a vial of Serge Lutens' Muscs Koublai Khan over it and let it soak in for a couple of years. The perfume combines notes of musk, cumin, and amber, creating a warm and spicy aroma, just the thing for a blustery morning shave.

I know this soap is polar but I sure do like it. A lot! Every time I use it I’m reminded of the chore of setting the tents in camp. The smell of the stove pipes coated in creosote, then the first fire in the tent. So many memories flood my brain. The smell of canvas that has seen ages of mountain time. The smell of clean wheat straw strewn thick and corralled by an aspen pole border. The crisp scent of mountain air and the sharp notes of dying wyethia rolling through my brain. These notes aren’t in Texas on Fire, just smoke and creosote but it sure brings the others to mind.

Never cared for Crosby; always had impression that he would be happy as a professional dog coprophagist if it paid more than a musician. Nash, on the other hand, gave the impression he would perform free of charge but luckily was sufficiently talented to become wealthy.
