Chypre Rose Concerto (Wholly Kaw) rose chypre
Shave 6 ・ 99 g left
My soap didn’t smell like much until I gave it a little water. Then the fragrance bloomed nicely into a complex rose chypre with just the right balance of jammy florals and bitter labdanum. Just the thing for a fall Thu•Rose•day.

Oh yeah, I dig Vetiver. No, I crave Vetiver. Can’t explain why it’s so appealing to me but that root is most awesome. Thus I’m always seeking out and searching for the next thing and Brother there are some great ones out there. Black Ties Black Velvet is a wonderful display of the root. Mikes Naturals shows off the nuttiness that is sometimes present. Mickey Lees Reunion offers the sharpness of the oil that tingles in the back of the nose. But the king of raw is Salters French Vetiver. It displays the grass in its birthday suit! All raw and smoky and dirty and to many, a totally disgusting swamp fire. Imagine my delight when a tub of PAA Vetiver Planet showed up. It too is all Vetiver and nothing else. It’s like Salters better behaved brother, grew up in the same house but doesn’t cuss or spit on the dirt in mixed company. Refined and mannered but ready to throw hands if the situation degrades. My what a nice shave this Vetiver in CK6 offered.
