FaceScraper, I hear what you’re saying about the Simpson T3. The spine is too stiff for comfortable face lathering. I use my T2 on my palm, and there it works pretty well. Still, I’d prefer a floppier knot. Nice handle, though.
And thanks for your tip on the Kai ProTouch MG blades. I haven’t tested them yet, but your recommendation has persuaded me to try them out. I’ve been making the rounds with a variety of Artist Club blades. So far I’ve experimented with the Kai Pinks and Captains, finding them quite harsh. The Feather Soft Guards were gentle but tuggy. The Feather Pros, on the other hand, are exceptionally sharp. While the first three shaves with a Feather Pro caused a burning sensation, today’s shave was smooth and easy. Your suggestion is greatly appreciated, and good luck with finishing your tub of bay rum. Looks like you’ve got one or two more shaves left?

I do think the Trafalgar brushes are very good, especially for the price. Lots of guys love 'em, too. Like you, floppier knots are where it's at for me.
While I love the ProTouch MGs, there's a chance you won't. If you wish, PM me and I'll be happy to send you some to try. The only other AC blades I have are the Feather Pro Supers. You're also welcome to try them, although I have a suspicion you won't want to.
The jury is still out how much longer the Jeeves Bay Rum will last. By the looks of things, not much. I will pause for Thu°Rose°Day, then resume again Friday. Probably by the end of the weekend it'll be kicked. Then it'll be time to select another victim.
