Clay Face
Honolulu, Hawaii
Oxford & Cambridge (Czech & Speake) minty lavender
Shave 21 ・ 69 g left

Clay, I’ve decided, is at the heart of my most protective soaps. Whether it’s bentonite, rhassoul, green, grey, black, or shiny kaolin white, when clay’s in the soap, I get a good shave. I wish more soap cookers used it liberally. Valobra, who provided the base for today’s soap, were great clay men, and they made a splendid soap. Sadly, they’re no more. It’s puzzling why the best often disappear at the peak of their glory.

TOBS - Shaving Shop cream (organic)

My 10th anniversary of traditional wetshaving is right about now... not sure of the exact date of the true anniversary, but since today is 10/10, why not remember it today...

Shaving Shop cream was the first shave I had, along with a Merkur Futur set (brush and razor). This scent still brings me back every time.

Might have to pull out the Proraso green cream soon, as that was also in my initial order from Royal Shave. Just checked and they're still around... We never hear about them anymore.
