Couldn’t resist this for the equivalent of US$1.75 at my local supermarket in France. One of my all time favorite scents. Performance isn’t artisan soap quality but it definitely produced a DFS!
Really wish they still made the stick version..but they did away with that several years ago..

Vétyver, série limitée (Martin de Candre) green clean vetiver
Shave 30 ・ 179 g left

I’m making good progress with this jar of Vétyver. It’s taken me only 4½ years to rack up 30 shaves. That’s 10% of the soap. At this rate, I should have this one all wrapped up by the time I turn 100.

Vetiver wasn’t commonly used in Western fragrances until World War I. The conflict disrupted the global supply chains of many aromatic substances typically used in perfumery such as sandalwood, frankincense, and other resins. So the industry turned to vetiver as a substitute for some of these traditional fragrance materials. The scent grew in popularity during the 20th century, particularly in men’s colognes, for its pungent and long-lasting scent. Carven Vetiver came out in 1957, followed by Givenchy Vetyver and Guerlain Vetiver in 1959. Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver, which appeared in 2009, pairs especially well with Martin de Candre’s light and clean Vétyver shave soap.

Soap name?  Your guess is as good as mine.  The label fell off and I don't know the scent.  I do know it is an SV soap so i'll need to go through the stash to narrow the choices down.  There just wasn't time to do that before I needed to leave for work this morning.  Oh well, the scent was fantastic and the lather was luxurious!
