Oud Osmanthus (Grooming Dept) leather oud

Fruit, leather, oud, flowers, green leaves, dust … this is another one of Mohammad’s stunningly odd creations. When I first uncorked it, I was certain I wasn’t going to like it. It smelled like a musty Ace bandage that had been kicked around an apricot orchard. Not exactly off putting, but peculiar to be sure. Then the leathery bits welled up. What at first seemed odd, now became genuinely bizarre. I was tempted to screw the lid down tight and put this tub back on the shelf. But as so often is the case with Grooming Dept soaps, when I lathered it, everything came together. The oud came forward, the leather toned down, and the fruity-floral bits gave the cream a smooth, bright background. Definitely worth further exploration.

I have the "Standard" copper head with a different handle. I love it along with my aluminum Outlaw brush and aluminum Betahive. Steve's service is always top notch!!!
