Summer is on the wane here in the Bluegrass. The mornings are cool, the crab apple trees are losing there leaves, and the black walnuts are starting to purge and abort their poor nuts. I love the magnolia - my three trees [big leaf, umbrella and cucumber] have produced a lot of fruit/seeds.  This puck [GD's first version]  is a great rendition of the flower.

I will miss the summer.

Oh brother, me too.  I do enjoy all the seasons but this summer seemed way too short.

Local agent came on the scene, made a splash, then floated away.  It’s too bad because he had some killer scents.  California Barber was a bright and lively, citrus topped, barbershop scent and wow I wish I had a puck.  I’m not usually a bay rum fan, I like it but not love it.  This one is choice though.  Again, it’s lighter than most bay rums and I enjoy that.  This one was lost in the garage fridge but I’m sure glad I found it.

It’s hot and I’m looking for something cool. Wouldn’t you know, I don’t have any of Stirling’s super mentholated soaps on hand. Every time I buy a puck, a friend or member of the family snags it. Luckily, I’ve got this Sea Ice Lime to fall back on. It’s not as chilly as Stirling’s glacial offerings, but the scent is clean and bright and cool.
