Best orange, maybe citrus, ever. May have some artifice but executed simply and brilliantly
Dan, pure citrus. Not too smoky or burnt?  You love this one, thinking I need to try it.

The soap scent wonderful but my favourite is the AS - albeit different, as beloved as Floid's Amber and Blue Pitralon's Classic and Polar - that high steppin' company in AS.  Understand there now an EdT; would love to try it.

Regarding the burnt aspects, it there but delightfully executed - it plain works as executed

Tommy, I don't even pick up the smoke scent at all. It's straight up fresh orange to my nose. Even those that do detect the smoked note say it's faint.
Yep, I get it but very faint. Could use a touch more to me but still a favorite Big Grin

I couldn't resist adding a slice of Nordost love:  Smoke or no, I love it - great scent in a great performer.

Clay Face
Honolulu, Hawaii
Eufros Fougère (Eufros) dark fougère
Shave 2 ・ 111 g left

On my second day with Eufros Fougère, I remembered why I like it so much. In fact, this is my second tub of this soap, the first having been used up many years ago. As I lathered up this morning, the nostalgia was palpable. Along with the expected notes of moss, lavender, and coumarin, the fragrance somehow recreates the scent of damp wool meeting a hot iron. You can smell the steam. It’s elegant and it’s refined. To enhance the experience, I paired it with Penhaligon’s Sartorial, a modern fougère that also nods to the distinctive smells of Jermyn Street.

IIRC this is my maiden voyage with the Kodiak base, and my initial reaction is easy to describe:  Wow!
