Ethos - Bay Rum (F Base)

Just a fantastic day exploring new terrain on the mountain bike. Bay Rum kept it going. Also finished with the Tortola splash. Great vibes today!

Crema da Barba (Officina di Santa Maria Novella) cool tobacco
Shave 15 ・ 198 g left

I wrapped up Treasure Island and I loved it every drop. And now onto another good read: Dante’s Inferno. This book sent me rummaging through my soaps for something from Italy, where Dante was born. There are plenty of extraordinary Italian soaps to choose from – Proraso, Abbate y La Mantia, Saponificio Varesino – but I settled on Officina di Santa Maria Novella’s Crema da Barba for its association with the medieval past. Dominican friars founded the Officina in the 13th century as an apothecary. It produced herbal remedies and medicines for the monastery’s infirmary. Today it still operates within the complex of Santa Maria Novella, maintaining its historical association with the church and monastery. Over the centuries, it has expanded its offerings to include perfumes, cosmetics, and other luxury goods, such as this excellent shaving cream.

vtmax, thanks for reminding me of Mani. My wife just finished it, and once I work through the other fifty books on my shelf, I think I’m going to pick it up, too.

HighSpeed, yes of course, the cheese – toasted, mostly.

The books will go more swiftly than the jars of soap!

Another Joserra soap. Great one this jar.
