Every day, if I keep my eyes open, I notice that something wonderful happens. Most often these aren’t earth-shaking miracles, but they’re consistent, and that’s enough to hold my spirits aloft for another day. Today’s dollop of joy was the discovery that a refill puck of Tabac fits perfectly into the violet glass jar used for Esbjerg’s Zen Collection creams. It’s like they were made for each other. The padded lid screws down so tight none of that chest-thumping Tabac aroma will ever escape. And another great discovery? Mäuer & Wirtz gave me ten extra grams of this fabulous soap. Ain’t life grand?

Bouki thank you for rekindling my desire to get lost with Paddy Fermor’s books. I read Mani some years back. A remarkable writer, stunning at times. Looking forward to it. 

Nice to arrive back to some July 4th sales on the doorstep. Macduffs new Prairie Sky combines the stone fruits into one intoxicating scent. It’s perfect and uplifting. The V4 base delivers all we need and more. 

Macduffs appears to have graduated from the junior high school fragrance oils. Much better stuff here. McGill University level good. 

Also nice to be back in my own bed.
