Clay Face

Batavia Barber (Oaken Lab) neroli & immortelle
Shave 3 ・ 96% left

HoosierShave’s fine thrashing of his Oaken Lab soap today inspired me to attempt the same. So this morning I bloomed Batavia Barber with a thin veil of warm water and then took after it with a stiff boar brush. I loaded until the knot was choked with soap and then built the lather on my south paw. It was fragrant stuff, both flowery and leathersome. But even after a good 45 seconds of hateful loading, the tub still weighs one gram more than it did last night. I’m going in reverse.

Ethos - Bay Rum (F Base)

All this talk of loading heavy got the best of me. I pulled out my largest looking knot and went to town. And palm-lathered, a la Bouki today. Coulda shaved myself 10 more passes.
