Orange juice and bay rum, the breakfast of champions.
Today, I used a different soap and aftershave, but kept everything else the same as yesterday. Despite the uniformly close scraping I’ve done this week, I still haven’t felt any irritation, which is remarkable. I’m not sure whether to attribute these fine shaves to the mild Blackbird Lite razor or to the towering mountain of lather I create each day.
HoosierShave, the numbers on your scale bring a tear of joy to my eyes.

*** BARRISTER & MANN ANIMALS UPDATE #3 ***
Gents….I have good news and bad news from my B&M Animals Rescue Squad:
FIRST the good news:
”Barry” the Bay Rum Parrot has been found…. homeless and unemployed, but FOUND, YAY!!
I received a call from animal control in Boston, someone reported a Large Parrot flying around for about the last two months. Animal Control said the bird smelled really good and its microchip was registered to Barrister Mann Grooming Supplies. Since I’m head of the rescue committee I flew out to see whats’s what. It’s true! Barry the Bay Rum feathered Model has been found and I’m taking him home with me!
…..and now the not so good news. Barry has a message for Will:

LOS JABONES DE JOSERRA - GALVEZ - Sample from TRC. Very nice . Will probably order a full puck. Scent notes " A rich sensual woody fragrance with dark cedar bound with velvety suede and leather. These are smoothed by intense amber, sandalwood, patchouli and tonka." Not exactly a Spring or Summer fragrance, but definitely in my "wheel house".

She came into the apartment handcuffed to another girl. Seems goofing around with some other immature boys will get you locked up. Anyway, I was older and dating and not interested in this cute, young Montana girl. And that was that. Fast forward two years. I was not dating that other girl anymore but that didn’t take long anyway. It was Independence Day and a couple of buddy’s invited me to a condo in Deer Lodge Montana for a couple of days. We’d just come from the golf course and in the clubhouse was a long legged, dark haired, tanned girl at the desk. Her back was to us but when she turned around it was that young handcuffed girl from two years ago and time had treated her very well! Well, because I “got game” I made a date for that evening and ditched the boys for a steak at the Broken Arrow accompanied by a pretty lady. I wore Polo Green that night. We had an incredible evening and made a date for a couple of weeks later in her home town of Helena. Let me tell you, a four hour drive is a long way to go for a date but she told me to pick her up at the ranch and she’d show me the town. Ranchers huh? Those were my kind of people so when the day arrived and I drove to the ranch I was confused and couldn’t find it so I stopped and called and she told me I was less than half a mile away! Well, her “ranch” was about a hundred acres which in my world was a hobby farm. Turns out this was what they had left after selling the ranch. This was the headquarters. Well, we dated all summer and she came back down to school and after 6 whole months we wed. Five kids, 16 grands and the best in-laws one could ask for and it looks like after 36 years of marriage we just might make it work! And she still likes my Polo Green the best. This Stirling isn’t an exact match but it sure is a good starting place to apply some vintage Polo juice.Great post. Congrats on making the right choice 36 years ago. And you are too be admired for your happy healthy family unit. Don't see that enough these days. Well done Lip.
