"Creme Fraiche - is our newest  ingredient that makes the lather more creamy and improves the performance. It is the result of fermentation of fresh cream and we ferment it for 48 hours before it's ready to use. Fermentation produces lactic acid which is a good exfoliant for the skin. Plus we added Hops Extract, Omega 3, Omega 6 -- the same one that's used to make beer."

"Overall it improved slickness, creaminess and made it extra smooth for the blade to glide and cut hair"

Performance exceeds expectations on all levels, imo. The scent profile is wonderful. Wife agrees, one of the top two or three scents in the house.

Sri and WK real pros, great product on time and consistent, quiet and drama free
Sometimes too quiet. We’d heard nothing from Sri for some time then just a few days ago several new Wholly Kaw products dropped on Top of The Chain. Good to see.
Not intentionally quiet!! Feedback well received Smile.

There's at least one, maybe two shaves left in this tub.

Bouki, I recently decided to find a good boar brush.  I'm really more of a synthetic fan but have two badgers that get used often and really wanted to have at least one boar that gets some good use.  Thanks to wyze0ne and jshaves2554 I purchased the Zenith boar brush and couldn't be happier so far.  Send me your address and I'll gladly send you a once-used Omega boar.  The knot is really nice but I just didn't like the handle, feels hollow and i like a little more heft

Barrister’s Reserve Fern (Barrister & Mann) fougère Friday
Shave 13 ・ 84% left

Barrister & Mann’s Reserve base is a curious thing. As water is slowly added drop by drop, it goes stringy, transforming into a molten mass that’s both oily and sticky. It reminds me of marshmallows left to languish on the front seat of a car on a roasty summer day. Not very appealing, I admit, but from a lather maker’s point of view, it is intriguing. The question is, can it be used to create a usable lather? As I tentatively work my brush into the dense, viscous goo, I’m skeptical. It seems too thick, too impenetrable to yield anything of value. But with the addition of just a single drop of water, the transformation is miraculous. Suddenly, the once unwieldy mass becomes a creamy, luxurious yogurt. It’s magic.

On a side note, I finally sent my puck of Eucris to the showers. I just couldn’t get a good face-shaving lather out of it, no matter how hard I tried. But it makes a very good hand soap, and of course it still smells reeking wonderful.

Lastly, many thanks to HoosierShave. Your gracious offer is very kind. It never ceases to amaze me how bighearted the DFS community is. But I must confess, I have already sampled the Omega boar brush you so kindly suggested. Like you, I found the handle to be featherweight and the bristles a bit scritchy. However, your mention of the Zenith boar brushes piqued my interest. And so I took the plunge and orderd a copper-handled chrome-plated professional boar mop. At a robust weight of 121 grams, this sledgehammer is sure to bore through even the most obstinate soap.

I have Amber Bomba soap and splash in transit from Top of The Chain as we speak.  Looking forward to trying it out.

Thanks Sri.
