What soap/cream did you use today?

My Semogue boar brushes have a reputation for gobbling up lather with reckless abandon. That’s not all bad. They allow me to use copious amounts of soap – around 3½ grams per shave – to achieve a perfect lather without making a whole wheelbarrow full of suds. Together with these lather-hogging brushes, I use the Sori Yanagi Martian bowl, crafted from sleek stainless steel. This minimalist masterpiece also has a peculiar talent for guzzling down lather. Together, the boar brushes and the otherworldly bowl keep my overloaded lathers under control, preventing them from exploding out of hand.

One problem, though, has me troubled. In my humid seaside environment, these boar brushes take days to dry. Seems like I truly need a larger rotation of these porcine face mops. I’m sure you’ve got a favorite. What can you recommend? (And Lipripper660, you gotta tell me where you got that double-duck boar you brought out today!)

My boars dry easily in my high desert climate and the dubl duck is actually a C-Mon copy and new creation from Heritage Collection owned by Neil Breed.  He actually treats the boar bristles and they act like they have already swam some laps when they get to me.  I have two of them.  This C-Mon and a Merit. I have an original dubl duck that wears his boar knot

Wholly Kaw - Amber Bomba ( Creme Fraiche base ) - A new offering from WK. Used yesterday and today.  I just keep feeling my face.   Needed to get more information on Creme Fraiche.  Sri at WK was very kind to reply to my inquiry:

"Creme Fraiche - is our newest  ingredient that makes the lather more creamy and improves the performance. It is the result of fermentation of fresh cream and we ferment it for 48 hours before it's ready to use. Fermentation produces lactic acid which is a good exfoliant for the skin. Plus we added Hops Extract, Omega 3, Omega 6 -- the same one that's used to make beer."

"Overall it improved slickness, creaminess and made it extra smooth for the blade to glide and cut hair"

Performance exceeds expectations on all levels, imo. The scent profile is wonderful. Wife agrees, one of the top two or three scents in the house.
