DanLaw, I’m loving this titanium Vector with the Feather Soft Guard blade. Lemme ask, how many shaves do you get out of these blades?

4 solid shaves as the 'Soft Guards' prevent corking and mitigate against the benefits of stropping.

Even at the additional expense of AC ProSoftGuard blades, the Vector Ti henceforth the primary razor in rotation. Hitherto, no razor has ever facilitated such perfect, repeatable and comfortable BBS shaves, even straights can not compare.
Oh, so you use corks and hand stropping to hone your double-edge blades? I'll have to try that with another blade sometime. I can see how that wouldn't work with a Soft Guard, though.

I wasn't sure what to make of the Soft Guards at first. They start out pretty tuggy. But I can put up with that since the second pass is so very smooth. The very best thing, though, is that there's absolutely no irritation, even though they give me a very close shave. For the first time in a couple years, no matter the lather – tallow or vegetal – I can shave across, or even against the grain without pain or hot spots. And here's some more good news: once again I can splash on aftershave. I'd just about given up on all my lotions, serums, splashes and aftershaves since they seemed to bring on irritation. But now I'm back to giving myself a good drenching with the juice. Life is looking up!

Exactly the same experience but even more amazing is every square millimeter of face and neck is as perfectly BBS as a prepubescent girl, staying so for well nigh 36 hours even employing the credit card swiped against the grain test. It is amazing. Only wish Shane would offer a premium polish; may yet send it out.

DE shavers wrestling with less than stellar results should trial this razor; once the appropriate AC blade found - and they differ substantially within and across brands - hard to imagine ever getting better results.

Whoa! Guess I better start looking now. Cannot go without at least one more tub of this gem.

Thanks for the heads-up FaceScraper . You may just have saved my shave.

EDIT: Looks like I just made it... Albeit, I won't know for sure until it arrives. Found it at ONE store, Shave Shack Texas. Never heard of them. Hope it's legit. Definitely worth a shot, and PayPal has my back - again, I hope. Thanks again for the heads up.

Just saw this. Thanks Tommy, that is a very nice gesture, however I already ordered a backup. I should be good to go for a long while.
