Cella

Bought 2 kilos of Cella 10 years ago and have been moving this stuff around to various containers. A spalted American Hackberry bowl created at my request from a young fella in Lexington KY. The spalted maple handle is from Bobby Quinn's Elite Razors, 28mm, Lotus shaped handle, Manchurian White badger bulb.

Hahahaha, I KNEW this was coming….

“Dude, how is the Masters of the Green?”

Here’s my answer always…. “Did you reach out to Bouki ? He’s the man with the answers.  All I’m going to do is butcher it with my self-diagnosed ADD….. but whatev

I’m NO lover of green soaps, I’m not.  They smell like dandelion, dirt, grass clippings and a splash of summer sweat.  When I first acquired this (Thank You JMoney$) I knew looking at the label and my unrehearsed eyeball roll this was going to choke me out and not in a good way.  Opened it, took a whiff.  Surprisingly I said “huh” it’s NOT horrible.  I immediately thought of silver mountain water by creed and then the other one…. Green Valley I think is/was the name

Citrusy Fresh with a hint of spicy.  Very vegetation greenery grass clipping BUT NOT sharp…..softer. I get lemon verbena, moss, floral like an Iris, maybe orris would be a better term tho Iris is what I smell, and ambergris.  Ambergris but in marine sensory if that makes any sense, maybe a splash of sandalwood/ginger.  I think I’m getting spicy not from sandalwood but from the Ambergris which is also where the sandalwoody/ginger smell is coming from

There it is…….citrusy green lemon fresh with a hint of spice… I like it, actually….I really like it soooooo it will stay.  The performance was OUTSTANDING.  I was surprised how well it lathered…THIRSTY like a dateless drunk bird at last call.  Don’t use the eye dropper technique here, this one likes water and will reward you with a very rich-thick generous lather.  The phantom lather MOTG provides was enough for me to do my detail and get my day started, no second lathering was needed.  My skin felt great, CLEAN which I love. This boutique soap has everything the cool kids mainstream soaps have in terms of a top tier base.

The containers DentonMajik uses for their soaps is brilliant!  They use heavy acrylic containers which I love, so thank you Mr Majik and Mr Denton.  I’ll pay more for the awesomeness of these containers.  The cool kids soaps charge you more for their poisons and went with the cheap containers but this subject is for another day…..

I was only washing a few windows here at the crib today so I didn’t use a frag, if I did, it would have been Silver Mountain Water by Creed.

Cheers Lads….

Base is amazing if you have not used Noble Otter yet, the scent wasnt quite what I expected, not bad but the musk note has a salt water vibe to it and its pretty forward to my nose, you can still get the other notes but I wish the musk wasn't as prominent.  I didn't notice the saltiness until I lathered it the first time.  Im still keeping this one though, they can't all be stunners.

If you like the musk in light blue intense pour homme you'll probably like this musk too.

A new book calls for a new soap (but I'm sticking with the same brand, this Spearhead is so satisfying)! This time the good read is another Scottish classic, John Buchan’s The 39 Steps. It's a daring tale of espionage and adventure that was penned at the outbreak of the First World War. With much of the story unfolding against the sweeping backdrop of Scotland’s rugged and heather-clad highlands, the choice of soap wasn’t difficult.

Correcto, the base is really great! I have a couple full tubs of their soaps, and like 5 samples I forgot about until today. Just used the Rawr sample now...
Funny you mentioned salt water (though I didn't really notice that specifically TBH, but I saw your post after I shaved), bc I really thought Rawr smelled in the same vein as PAA The Beach, maybe a little toned down. That happy bright breeze carrying tropical vegetation... and sun tan lotion vibe (slightly less in Rawr). Definitely not an everyday scent for me, but pretty nice when the weather matches (or when you want to think you're there on the beach).
