Today was first use of the new Ultima base from A&E.  Different from Kaizen (which is at the top of my soap list) in that it is thicker, but man did it give a slick, smooth shave.  Could it be the best soap I've used?  Possibly.  But, if not, then it joins the very top category.  Fantastic stuff.

Seaforth ‘Sea Ice Lime’ Soap

This one checks all the boxes for me. The Scent is outstanding, and the Base is Top Tier in every respect. This will be in heavy rotation this Spring/Summer.

Shave 14 ・ 78% left

In an early episode of Lather Talk, Dennis, the mastermind behind the Spearhead Shaving Company, revealed the origin of his company’s name. As it turns out, he took his inspiration from his grandfather's unit in World War II – the 3rd Battalion, 33rd Armored Regiment, Third Armored Division, famously known as the "Spearhead." Having landed in Normandy in June of 1944, this formidable unit saw plenty of action as they relentlessly raced towards Germany, culminating in their pivotal role in the Battle of the Bulge. Spearheading the charge, they fearlessly broke through enemy lines, halting the German encirclement and paving the way for the Allies' ultimate victory.

But for Dennis, the Spearhead legacy was much more than a historical footnote. It was a tangible connection to his past and a desire to capture the essence of what it meant to be a man in the 1940s and 1950s. This led him to resurrect the defunct Seaforth! label, a brand he believes his grandfather may have used during and after the war, thus reviving its timeless appeal for a new generation of shavers.

Men of the Spearhead Division, faces blackened for night combat, celebrate a victory with a box of rations. Makes you wonder what sort of shaving soap was tucked into their kit.

Great story and pic!

My goodness i've missed using MacDuff's soaps.  And the scent on Birth of the Cool really seems to mellow while face-lathering...at least when compared to the scent strength off the puck.  I loaded straight from the puck with a slightly damp synthetic knot.  I only loaded for about 10-15 seconds, face-lathered for about 10 minutes, and was rewarded with a mound of suds!

PANNACREMA * Nuavia Blue

How do you like the pannacrema?
Absolutely brilliant…solid performance, slick, very rich, cushion, less foam like more nourishing yoghurt consistency, and the scents…..I like anything that is STRONG and Nuavia has never let me down.

I have a couple-ish soaps so I keep these in a ziploc because the ceramic tops are NOT air-proof and I’m all about preserving the scent.

The Blue is a spicy citrusy orange vanilla amber patchouli…. It’s a very modern now scent, even my teen boys were yapping… “yummmmmm, he’s got the Nuavia out.”  I love all 4 of them, the soaps that is, lol.  Oddly the green is my fav and less popular amongst our peers…. Red second, blue third and black last.  All outstanding and complex in scent.  Over the years I’ve always felt Nuavia to be a true luxury soap.  When they discontinued the ceramic container I turned sour even though I have all the containers.  I’ve always felt the container was part of the experience.

Overall, yes I would purchase them all again
