Well, Bouki, I took your advice and loaded for a good 60 seconds.  Also, I soaked bloomed the soap while I showered and then face-painted for about 12 minutes.  I ended up with enough lather for everyone on this thread to do 3 passes Smile   Seriously though, it was definitely a different lather today and I thank you Bouki for your comments from yesterday.  It was a much denser lather today but still had more bubbles that I like to see.  As with yesterday's shave, absolutely no issues with the performance.

More importantly, i left like the "base" lather was really excellent today.  If after face-lathering for 5-7 minutes, I had scraped off the top layer of lather from my face and squeezed out some of the excess lather from my brush, then started face-lathering again...I feel like there could be something really special with this base/lather.

Seaforth! Fleur de France (Spearhead) musky rosemary
Shave 12 ・ 81% left

Full of nostalgic charm, this fragrance does not shy away from old-fashioned appeal. Its powdery, musky notes are reminiscent of the male sport fragrances from the Twenties. You could easily imagine the Great Gatsby indulging in a shave with Fleur de France. In fact, the soap’s powdery floral beginning blends seamlessly with the opening floral bouquet of Knize Ten (1924). For those who appreciate this vintage vibe, a visit to Spearhead's site may be rewarding. Now available for the reduced price of only $13, Fleur de France is a true bargain.

HoosierShave, today your lather is looking a lot glossier than yesterday's, leading me to believe you're on to something good. And your talk of base lather rings some bells with me. I've often found that the lather left in the brush at the end of the shave is better than the cream I actually used for the scraping. Carry on! You're doing us all a service.
