Bergamot & Thyme (Pré de Provence) bright & easy

Lately I’ve been attracted to the scents of the Mediterranean: salty sea breezes, citrus of all types, herbs, olives, pine trees under the warm sun, lavender, and jasmine. That’s what led me to order this classic shave soap. Although Bergamot & Thyme is not what one might call a world-class lather, it has its delights. The label claims that it smells of citrus and herbs, and indeed it does, but there is more. It also smells of sunshine, quiet mornings, and dew on pine boughs. It's as much as mood as a fragrance.

The Varlet is always a pleasure to use. This one feels a tad too small but man this brush is stunning and a lovely knot.

This tube is dead!!!! That makes 7 tub kills for 2023.

This 29mm H5 fan is crazy! It's a big luxurious cloud on my head shave. It devoured the last of this soap. Initial impressions of TNS batch 5 hair, It's very soft, and has very little if any gel at all. I need more time with it to give a better write-up. But so far very favorable impressions. The H5 loaded and released the soap with ease.

Been lurking (and shaving Friday, Saturday, and Monday) and wanting to post, but the stars never aligned till now. Sorry, not trying to shill for Ethos... This happened organically... The first two just came in a few days ago, and today just felt like a lavender day (rare for me) and I've hardly used this tub.

If these were my only 3 shaves ever, I'd still have concluded F Base is best. (Granted, used different razors/brushes for each shave.)

Just to be clear. The label on the Rendezvous was a mistake on my graphic designer but can’t blame her 100% as I didn’t catch it when I proofed it. Also that was the 2 version of the S Base so not the latest. The newest version has 4 new ingredients that are found in the latest F Bases which is only found in the Sandalo Artistico and the Bay Rum. I made two Jars of the latest S Base on a custom order back before I got sick and took a little home and it’s definitely a step up in all around performance.

No worries on the label, Frank. It's still very good (v2 S Base), so excited to see the current one some day.
That said, my Lavender Supreme (F Base) doesn't have those 4 ingredients either, so that'll be amazing.
I also really like the Tallow Cream, excellent top drawer stuff. I just pair with F Base EVEN BETTER. That's all ... Not a diss on the other two bases (hope you didn't take it that way, sorry!).
