Colonia (Ethos) classic Italian cologne
Shave 15 ・ 96 g left

This morning’s shave filled the dawn air with an uplifting blend of citrus, delicate garden blooms, and a gentle hint of wood. If only the groundhog had caught a whiff of it, I have no doubt he would have declared spring’s arrival imminent. I found a complementary fragrance in Acqua di Parma’s Colonia, though Eton College cologne would have have been just as suitable.

As for my razor – the Blackland Vector Ti – the results have been uneven. Its odd shape suggests the unexpected union of a scalpel and a squeegee. The first outing was splendid, but the following days brought some rather rough cuts. However, taking Shane’s advice, I discovered how gentle and effective the Vector could be when I tilted the handle high and rode the cap. The angle is very similar to the one used with the Feather AS-D2, but the resulting shave is much closer.

Kind of a freshy spa scent. Not bad, but feel like I am perusing the pages of a Cosmopilitan magazine .

Great lather though, and the glass jars rock.

My Sundays start very early.  I’m in the truck and headed to the university by 5:30 and couldn’t be happier.  Early mornings scream for a quick shave and Salters is a great choice.  Ah, that dirty Vetiver followed by a bit of vintage Aramis?  Who can beat that?

And this morning?  A Chypre I wish was still made.  Latha is/was a great base for me and frankly I forgot I had this soap.  It’s been chilling in the garage fridge crisper drawer for I’ll bet two years.  It’s not going to hide now!  Oakmoss always reminds me of green cut aspen.  It smells nothing like oakmoss but the “bite” has the same feel.  I know, it sounds weird but you know the feel/smell of summer dust in your nostrils?  It’s that sharp tickle that I find so appealing.  The scent is awesome too.

I have not used but a little surprising. I was under the impression the newest base was pretty good. Any chance that is a old formula as the labels are different and I don't see that scent currently available. I was kind of interested in trying as she/he appears to be having someone else do the scents now. If I'm not mistaken the guy thar did the Spearhead soaps and one from Rogue a perfumer that looks quite bold. Unfortunate but a gift so no loss I suppose.
