Nice crafting of the scent, Frank, I love it. Excellent shave, as always.

Shave 11 ・ 121 g left

Let me echo what others have found in regard to the daily cost of using Ethos soaps. Granted the price on the shelf is higher than most soaps, but so very little is needed to make a lather, it all works out to a very agreeable price per shave. For instance, I expect to get about 120 shaves from this jar of Fresco, making my price per shave about 30¢. That’s not as cheap as a hard triple-milled puck, but it is far less than some other creamy artisan soaps.

Thank you Bouki for bringing up a subject on here that some other customers have figured out and made me aware of. As a wet shaving hobbyist for years I never thought about price per shave. I did know that my MDC soaps seemed to never go down so what I paid for them seemed reasonable considering.

This has to be Frank's most versatile soap.  Use it by itself or add a bit to other soaps to lend its scent note to the mix.  It just may improve the performance of the second soap while it's at it.  As a side note, I'm almost finished with my first bottle of the Tonka Bean Skin Food Splash Intense Edition, as this was one of the bottles inadvertently mixed with perfumer's alcohol.  If you like the alcohol burn from aftershaves, you'd love this one as the burn lasts and lasts and lasts.

Hello my friend

What are you doing using that full strength!  Big Grin

Add a little distilled water, Aloe Vera or some Witch Hazel to that bad boy. It will reduce the burn. Didn't I send you a replacement for that one?

An thank you for the input on the Tonka Bean Shave Soap.  Since Tonka Bean is used in so many scents it does match up with a lot of other scents.

All the best

Frank

It never occurred to me to add anything to the SFS.  I just sucked it up and dealt with the burn.  Since you mentioned witch hazel, I have multiple bottles just sitting on a shelf unused.  I might add a bit to what's left as there's enough for maybe two more shaves.  Actually now that I'm thinking about it, I'll take a bit from the other bottle I bought plus a little bit of WH to extend that original bottle.  Thanks for the suggestion!
