Darkfall (Declaration Grooming) smoky oud

Darkfall's smooth, thick, and creamy lather creates a shaving paradise. Along with an unctuous emulsion, it has a pleasant scent reminiscent of fall leaves burning in a distant ditch. The only issue I have with Declaration Grooming’s soft soap is that in my humid marine environment, it acts as a breeding ground for mold. Keeping that under control can be a challenge. I considered storing my DG soaps in the fridge, but the Mrs objects. So, I’ve decided to use them up; and I hereby declare that within the precincts of Boukiville, February will be dedicated to the wholehearted enjoyment of Declaration Grooming. A favorite!

Two soaps both awesome.  Yesterday I used Phoenix Shavings Sundown, a nod to Gillettes Sun up.  I’ve never smelled Sun up but if this is a good representation I’m a big fan!  Today was Black Ties Avenue and that fruity pineapple note kicked me right in the olfactory bulb.  Both are easy lathers.

Man, that stinks about the mold! I love DG base and really enjoy Darkfall.

A few more shaves and this tub will be dead. This Trotter performs as exceptionally as my top-tier brushes.
