Today marks 125 consecutive shaves, a humble accomplishment compared to some, yet for me, a novel achievement. What’s even more impressive? Two weeks without any inflammation. I've long been affected by pestering abrasion. I’ve found a remedy in simply limiting myself to one pass going with the grain. And to reduce the strain on my face, all lathers are prepared on my palm. I cannot promise a flawless close cut each day, but the Henson AL13 does its job well, taking off the hair and leaving the flesh behind. Of course, a grand soap such as
Cade keeps the skin plump and mends any minor nicks. And doesn’t it just smell like all that’s best in a piñon-juniper forest on a warm summer’s morning.
(I should note that this is an old puck, dating from around 2017. It still smelled good and woody back then.)
