Razor: 1955 Gillette Red Tip
Brush: DG Fae B9A
Soap: WK EROE

I like this scent and WK in general is one of my favorites. I'm using only vintage razors this week to give them some love. This B9A is fantastic.

No. 89 (Floris) citrus wood
Shave 6 ・ 122 g left

After bingeing a season of “Emily in Paris” over Christmas with my sister in order to strengthen the family ties, I had plans to start this year on a Frenchified note. But as I was sorting and sifting through the boxes looking for Martin and Lucien and les savons de ass-milk, I hit upon this very British No. 89 instead. It smelled delicious – lots of citrus, florals, wood, and herbs. Only thing holding me back from tucking in was the memory of subpar performance. Seems like in the past the lather came out thinnish and plaguesome. But lately, ta to DanLaw, I’ve had good luck lathering dense pucks with a floppy brush. So I took up the limp Disruptor which did so well with Cade, and gave No. 89 two-hundred unabashed thrashes. The result? Shazam! Rich, slippery lather and a powdery, woody, herby melange of scents that put me right on my rocking horse. Wonderful stuff.

First go with Sir Henry's or just Casino Royale?

First go with your brand. To be honest it's the cross border shipping thing so I was limiting myself to one initially . It was between this and I want to say a Lipper favourite Black Pepper & Vetiver. It's early tonight so who knows but I really don't want to encourage Dave in Kentucky and Co. in the DFS Damn Fine Restraint that I have joined. Smile)

Razor: Gillette Executive Fatboy
Brush: Trotter T1 & TNS L4
Soap: WK Rebelle

Another WK banger! This Executive Fatboy was smooth as glass on my head.

Finally had the opportunity to put these two fantastic brushes against each other. The L4 won for my tastes but not by much. I’d buy another of both.

Stirling Soap Co - British Leather   I do really like it but to my amateur nose a real powder bomb.  A winter soap for me.
