Today was a brand new puck of HAGS Grinched (Guinness Base). Pasteur sent me an email on Wednesday saying that they had it, and the enticement of a soap scent modeled on Kilian's Angels' Share perfume grabbed me. (And credit to Pasteur's for posting it within an hour of my ordering it. Got it today.). What a fabulous smelling soap this is - described as "top note of cognac, middle notes of cinnamon, tonka bean and oak; base notes of praline, vanilla and sandalwood." Both Christmasy and wintery. Wasn't sure about Guinness base but others have liked it from HAGS, and I found it gave an incredibly rich creamy lather that felt fantastic on the face. Hours later my face feels great and I still feel as if I'm in a kitchen with fresh backed cinnamon rolls. A win all around here.

Never heard of this soap but the description you provided is quite tempting. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

I had only seen a reference to HAGS once or twice. Describes itself as an artisanal shave company in Athens, Greece. Makes a Guinness-based soap as well as a vegan-, donkey milk- and mutton-. Really enjoyed this shave. There's just so many folks making great soaps out there! And a Happy Holidays to you and yours and everyone else here!

Christmas showing up in stores even before Halloween is over? No thank you. But as I’ve aged, and grandkids entered the picture, and I’m not getting h arranged by my kids for the latest gizmo, I’m starting to enjoy it more and more. We focus on traditions and family more than gifts and Santa. We’ve forgone all the hubbub and choose another family to shower joy on. (There was more than one lean year with my clan.) Tomorrow if I get my work done we are headed to the cabin where 5 kids, 5 in-laws who,are now my kids, 15 grandchildren (6 boys and 9 girls) and a bun in the oven will meet me for a weeks worth of family time. Will there be fun activities? You bet! Sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing, ping pong, foosball, and hot tubbing. Might even work up a polar plunge if folks are up for it. Yeah, I’m changing my mind and attitude thus the seasonal soaps are doing me good. The true meaning of Christmas. What a beautiful family. Neither of my kids are married yet but maybe soon...I'm keeping myself fit and strong (ish) in anticipation of the expanding family.
This is our Christmas from two years ago
I’ll stay on some shoes for a hike. They like to ice fish
