Tobacco (Eufros) tobaccola

2022 was supposed to have been a year of restraint. In some ways it went well. I bought only half as many soaps this year as I did last. But still, I ordered twenty-seven new tubs, and some, I have to confess, have never been lathered.
Time to visit these new but unloved additions, and we’ll begin with Eufros’ Tobacco. After one whiff, I see why I haven’t used this soap until now. It’s a strange interpretation of tobacco that lands somewhere between shoe leather and Coca-Cola. The fizzy note was totally unexpected. Not what really comes to mind when I think of brightleaf, but maybe they grow a different variety in Spain.
I paired it with Frank's No. 2 (surely one of the most unfortunate names for a fragrance ever). Thankfully, it smells much better than you may expect. I pick out woody notes glossed over with coffee, cognac, spice, plum, and bergamot. Dries down to a woody-spicy mix just like a thousand other men’s colognes. Not bad, but you can get about the same thing in Pré de Provence's No. 63 for about a third of the price.

I chose one of Doms great holiday scents this morning. ??. I’m telling you, taking a break from Christmas to a snootful of pineapple is a great choice. So easy to lather. Great scent. And why do I keep sharing its ease of use? We all know that by now. (Ps. I’m waiting on a package from Dom. A gift to my bride. I’ll post pics when it gets here but let me tell you Dom does more than make shaving stuff. His goldsmithing is impeccable.
