Thanks Frank and Dave. Yeah not really sure. It could be the blade, I suppose. On my first shave with the razor, it was my fifth shave with the blade (Gillette Platinum), and I NEVER go that long, not sure why I did, especially with a new razor. On the second shave, I used a new Astra SP, which I don't use either, I used it because it came with the razor.
I will also inspect the razor loaded before next shave, too. And use a new GP blade.

Corking and hand stropping always works for me. Keeps the edge smooth, consistent and deburred

Off topic, sorry. I've used the Pearl Flexi (v11, I believe) for my past two shaves, since it just was delivered. What are your thoughts on that? Honestly, I'm having trouble with it (tuggy and not smooth, really fighting the beard), even with some of my finest soaps. Thoughts? Thanks!
