Crema da Barba (Santa Maria Novella) cool tobacco
Shave 12 ・ 205 g left

The best part of this shave was the scent. I’m not a big fan of smoking or chewing tobacco, but after having lived for years in the shadow of some enormous tobacco warehouses, I have to admit that sweet earthy smell of well-cured brightleaf brings back happy memories of hot Southern afternoons. Of course, Crema da Barba is not all tobacco. It also has a jolt of eucalyptus and some warm vanilla, and those additions bring the fragrance into the realm of luxury, so that now when I smell this soap it takes me back fifty years to summer days spent riding on the hot leather seat in the back of my neighbor’s golden Mercedes 280SE, while his grampa sucked on a stogie.

More bear prints in the driveway. I'da thought they'd be hibernating at this point.
