Citricuyá (Barrister & Mann) green on green
Shave 2 ・ 111 g left

Blood orange? Passionfruit? Subtle spiciness? Floral notes? … I don’t think so. All I smell is bitter green citrus peels. Imagine you’ve come home with an enormous underripe grapefruit. You rip the rind off along with the bitter white pith and shove it all down the disposal. Then you hit the switch and Whamo! a big blast of fresh mown citrus fills the kitchen. That's what you get with Citricuyá. Clean, very green, and exhilarating.

Vetiver is and always will be a favorite scent and this Stirling soap Port Au Prince is a good one.  In the tub it smells pretty bland and maybe even a bit raw but once the brush hits it the citrus top takes off and soars.  This one is not filthy like Salters Frenchie.  It’s not nutty like Mikes.  It’s not clean like Mickey Lees Reunion, but it is bright and nice even if it does lean towards it’s wild side.  Add to that the sheep tallow base and excellence is assured.  I really find Stirlings mutton tallow base the best of the bunch and that lemon grass zing with this one is on point.
