Agrumes (Martin de Candre) south of Italy

I’m loving Agrumes now, but I haven’t always been a fan of this fragrance. My first jar of this soap was a mini 50-gram tublet. It was so tiny I couldn't fit a brush in it. I had to scoop out all the soap and mash it into a wooden bowl. As Martin de Candre recommends, I left it uncovered. That may have preserved the soap, but it shot the scent, and within a week or two all I smelled was Martin de Candre’s rubbery soap base. I’m hoping for better luck with this big jar. So far the scent has been bright and fresh right through the shave, and this time I’m leaving the lid on to keep it that way.

Pré de Provence - № 63

I match my soap scents to the weather/season... So I'd better get busy (shave more often than every other day), because Fall is short (or so it seems) in these parts. And I still have a lot of Fall scents (no matter how many den clearances that I've done)... Fall's my favorite "scent season".

So, I brought the 63 into the shower with the Blackland Era even though I wasn't planning on shaving tonight, which I'd normally do at the sink, of course.

I was always iffy with this scent, though it has many fans... but it might have grown on me tonight... And there must be a reason I haven't sold this. Actually, it's the second time owning it. Oops. Must be a reason for that?




love 63 and hate yellow jackets.  Hate them.  Despise the little buggers. Admire their efficiency but kill them all with FIRE!  I recall a float trip with my kid brother.  No clients.  Light boat.  Traveling fast.  I’d heard the hornets were Fierce so I threw in a pop-up screen room instead of a tent.  I could have sold that room for $1000 and it wasn’t worth selling for how bad the hornets were.  I got hit 7 time cooking supper near 5 mile bar and that supper was FAST.  Did I mention I hate yellow jackets? 

Oh yeah!
