Fougère (Martin de Candre) Fougère Friday
Shave 22 ・ 195 g left
When it comes to shaving, the hardest thing for me to learn was how to use a light touch. I’ve worked with sharp tools all my life, and the technique has generally been the same: use a firm grip, apply pressure, and keep the blade moving.
But shaving’s not like that. It calls for a very light grip on the razor and no pressure at all. Get that right, and I end up with a nice shave. Botch it though, and I end up with a face that feels shredded.
So snaps to Martin de Candre. It rewards a proper technique with a fantastic smooth results, but it really whops me when I lose my concentration. Good teacher.

Pré de Provence - № 63
I match my soap scents to the weather/season... So I'd better get busy (shave more often than every other day), because Fall is short (or so it seems) in these parts. And I still have a lot of Fall scents (no matter how many den clearances that I've done)... Fall's my favorite "scent season".
So, I brought the 63 into the shower with the Blackland Era even though I wasn't planning on shaving tonight, which I'd normally do at the sink, of course.
I was always iffy with this scent, though it has many fans... but it might have grown on me tonight... And there must be a reason I haven't sold this. Actually, it's the second time owning it. Oops. Must be a reason for that?
