SOAP NOTE: A dry, dusty, manly sort of rose that’s lightened by just a hint of lemon. You won’t have to fight your wife for this one. Mrs Bouki takes a sniff and shruggs. She likes her roses to smell a little sweeter and a little fruitier. Can’t blame her. So do I. But this Rose makes a nice lather that doesn’t dry my skin, so I’ve turned to it more often than to almost any other soap from Martin de Candre.

BLADE NOTE: I'm really impressed with the PolSilver Super Iridium. It's durable. For the last seven days I've used just one blade, and after fourteen passes it's still giving me a sharp smooth shave. Even more remarkable though, is that it's not rusting. Here on the beach a blade will last three, maybe four days before it starts to corrode, but this PolSilver SI is still bright and shiny after a week.

Barrister & Mann - Sandalwood (Soft Heart Series)

Officially one of my faves. Really disappointed to hear that the new Sandalwood in the Omnibus base is a bust.

This one was creamy and woody. Thankfully no tainting with blackcurrant and all those distractions.
