I hiked the Holland Glen trail on the eastern edge of the Pioneer Valley in Massachusetts last autumn after a previous rain storm and the water was flowing. Great little hike in a beautiful area. Heading up to Amherst Coffee afterwards always seals the deal.

Very curious if you can add your description of the scent. Probably want to try this.

Talbot/Maol Frankinlime

This is a soap that lathers well.  What it doesn't do as well is incorporate the scent.  Something in the soap overrides the scent and the tallow smell that I sense off the puck is not a great introduction. IMHO, Grooming Dept did a much better job with this scent.

Latha Le Petit Chypre (Barrister & Mann) simple chypre
Shave 18 ・ 78 g left

Wow. It’s been four and a half years since the Latha line was discontinued. I still feel a little sad. For a budget artisan soap, it was hard to beat. I bought this tub of Latha Le Petit Chypre for ten bucks, and it will probably give me close to sixty shaves. That’s about sixteen cents a shave. Can’t complain about that. Smells good, too. Compared to Barrister & Mann’s other offerings, the scent is simple, but it’s still rich and satisfying. And the lather itself? Very, very good, while the finish is excellent. The argan oil is very kind to my skin on these hot summer days.

I get a nice dose of the bergamot with a touch of lavender peeking through so a citrus start followed by a wet earth scent, dewy, damp and misty. Just love it.
