What soap/cream did you use today?

Grooming Dept - Sandalwood Nobile (Kairos)

Not sure if it was something in the fragrance or something else in the shaving multivariable equation (I know it's NOT the soap base itself), but I was slightly dry/raw afterwards. So I added some Ethos lotion to my post-shave routine today and cleared that up.
... I actually think the issue was the mild feel of the brass Overlander razor, which can make it difficult to feel the correct angle... defeating the whole point of mild!!!! It's kinda annoying... My first few shaves with that razor were great, but my results have degraded on subsequent usage. Is a patina bad for shaving? Just throwing it out there. Anything's possible in the 2020s.
Anyway, back to the soap: this is a decent sandalwood, though not my favorite. From this release, I much prefer the scent of English Lavender, no question about that.

This tub of Latha is over six years old, but I’m still getting as good a shave from it as I do from a fresh jar of Barrister & Mann’s Omnibus. And the scent is still strong and still … curious.
