Barrister’s Reserve Lavender (Barrister & Mann) bright lavender
Shave 2 ・ 112 g left

This fragrance of this Lavender is said to be based on Caldey Island’s Lavender Water, an aftershave made by Welsh monks who seem to have time enough after the opus Dei to work up something else divine. Luca Turin, one of the world’s best known connoisseurs of fine fragrances, raves about it. In his words it’s “Summer wind made smell.” Will has done a good job re-creating that aestival bliss in a shaving soap. To my nose, Lavender is very bright, lemony, and lovely, with hardly a hint of camphor. The Barrister’s Reserve line appears to be defunct, but this same lavender is available in Will’s Omnibus base.

I can’t remember the last time I used an Eleven soap but I picked this one up doing some horse trading’ and although I am not a really big aquatic guy the lather was excellent!  Oh and that’s my favorite synthetic brush right there.

Man I love the smooth shaves this lather catcher delivers and it's a cool and unique blade holder as well which lead to the Gem Junior Bar mechanism. Have a great day !

Beautiful summer soap from Joserra. Jose Martinez cooks my favourite base at the moment and rises above most with his aroma and fragrance knowledge.

The Spanish artisans are on top of their game right now even if this jar is a bit R rated!
