We have had some nice rain here in the central Bluegrass region the last 48 hours. The humid warm air calls for a nice exotic floral, and this fits the bill. I always enjoy this soap makers pucks. [Image: 89e8cecc14a5572e1f090ba4d0e804fb.jpg]

Love that brush. Would love to find one properly reknotted

It wasn't hard to reknot it, if you can at all use a Dremel tool.   I even added some weight to the handle while I was at it.  Tape it off so you don't scratch it.

What did you use for the reknot? I would go DG or Sabini if he would do it

My backup Fine LPH arrived this evening. I forgot how small those pucks are. I decided to grate it into the tub I'm using. The standard plastic tub is now 95% or more full, so it's probably 7.5oz of soap? Ought to last me a while.

Had to take it for a spin this evening. What a great scent! [Image: 513841c80a37b0c98413548a1913c9d5.jpg]

When you’re passionate about something, as we are about our shaves, it’s easy to overdo it. We stockpile razors even though we’ve got nowhere to stow them. We scrape and buff our skin till it’s red. Or we choke our brush with so much much soap it takes a trip to the garden hose to wet it down properly. That’s what happened today. I must have had five grams of this luscious creamy soap in my bowl to start off with. The lather it built was dense like mortar, but still disarmingly slick. I had a grand shave, one of the best ever.

But when it was done, the brush was still choked with soap. My face was clean, so I slapped my brush across my palm and built enough slippery lather for three more passes. Maybe more. It was lovely, fragrant  stuff and I didn’t want to waste it. I was just about ready to rub it into my scalp and start taking off my mane when my wife walked in, gently took the razor from my hand and put it in the cupboard. Then she put the brush under the tap, washed it clean, and shook it dry. After a quick pop on my butt that meant I’d better not even think about it, she walked out. Man, it’s good to have someone to help you rein in your passions from time to time.

Ethos - Shave MD Tribute Collection (F Base)

Really well executed, Frank. Nicely conceived, Mark. Wouldn't change a thing about the scent.

No new pics today (couldn't get the phone focused in time to snap some turkeys again), so I had to dig into the archives. I'm not a big fan of summer, so looking forward to autumn.

Just arrived today, courtesy of Brown Santa.
RazoRock "Puros".
The label says "The Scent of Premium Cured Cigar Leaf", but I get something more like an aromatic Cavendish pipe tobacco in the can.
Which is A Good Thing, IMHO.
I liked their (now discontinued) "Tobacco 1" croap, and this is close enough for me.
As with all other RR croaps that I've tried, it was a great performer.
