Ha!  Do they constantly lie, take bribes from big pharma and destroy the global economy to enrich self and friends?  Haha

I have a small set of soaps that I like but don’t necessarily love. Their performance is very good, especially when I load heavy, but something about their scent is just a tad off. When I pick up one of these tubs, I don’t hesitate to choke my brush with soap. I'm not looking to make it last. If I use four grams to build my lather, so much the better. The results are generally splendid and the odd scent fades within an hour.

Take today’s Kasbah for instance. It’s a combination of herbs, spices, and mint that in theory sounds exotic and intriguing. In practice, though, it sort of reminds me of brushing my teeth with minty toothpaste right after eating an Indian curry. Sort of stale and refreshing at the same time.

Thanks Dan.  After the shave, it occurred to me that that these particular items went together very nicely, and some of them are on my favorites lists.  Nordost is a favorite scent for me - delightful, and original in its own way - and the Omnibus base has been a reliable top shelf performer for me.  There's not much to be said about Brad Sears that hasn't been said already, and the razor is the hybrid Masamune OC/Nodachi cap that I have been enjoying for three shaves now.  The Terre d'Hermès and Nordost fit together like hand and glove, and the 4711, while different, complemented them nicely IMO.

This jar is about 9 years old. And I am getting down to the bottom.  She is a  great green, musky verbena.  I have had trouble over the years getting it dialed in; and recently was in a hurry, and therefore was not so fastidious in my loading and lathering - resulting  in my best lather with it to date.  I was under loading and was too careful with  early hydration. She likes an early big wet sloppy kiss.

BTW, if you haven't lathered with a Bob Quinn knot, try it. Best flow through encountered for me in my fleet. It sure did Tommy.  The TdH rocks, and the Nordost kept coming on throughout the shave.
