A fine combination of wood and spice, Rendevous smells like a walk through an autumn forest. I’m not picking up any pine, but there’s supposed to be some apple and cedar in here along with a light dusting of clove. This soap is offered by The Razor Company. They say the fragrance will call “to mind the ancient banks of the timber-lined Nile.” Timber? Yes! But on the Nile? Hmmm. To the best of my knowledge, there’s not much apple or cedar growing along the banks of that river. It’s a dusty, marshy place, and you’re more likely to smell papyrus, date palm, and water hyacinths there. When I smell this soap, what I think of is an afternoon in September spent wandering through an aspen grove with an icy stream trickling through the middle of it. It’s another one of Frank's fall scents, and it's nice.

ExtraProtein turned me on to Island Estate a while back, and I have to say that as Bay scents go, Sir Henry's is as good as it gets for me.  IMO the splash is that good too.

I agree with your description Bouki on the Rendezvous scent. I don’t know where they got that description copy from. I know it wasn’t me lol

This was a scent that Jason the owner of The Razor Company wanted. It’s not my normal style but it’s the customers choice right and what do I know as they’ve done very well with it as he’s sold out of two batches and I’ve got to make another one for them. In fact he just ordered a Shampoo/ Body wash in the scent.

Oh I did put an Apple Accord it there as it gave it a little sweetness that was needed but it is very much in the background.

Great shaves!

Yeah, I saw they sold out their bath bar. Let's hope that shows up again sometime soon. I like the fragrance a lot. Plenty of lemon up front, just a dash of spice, and lots of cedar. And of course the apple. That part scared me at first, since I've been sensitive to apple accords in the past. But I had no problems with Rendevous. Great shave, great scent.

So I need help here as this was gifted to me some time ago. I had TOO many soaps at the time but liked the scent, so it was placed in a drawer until I could pull it out. It comes in a box similar to Williams soap. It's always been in the back of my mind that it's there and I finally got it out and placed it in a used Stirling tub. What a great lather and scent. The soap lacks residual slickness after you remove it from your face with a razor stroke but slickness returns if you wet your face. REALLY happy with it. I want to say it came from Paul (mrdoug) but can't be sure as my memory has failed me and I'm guessing ?? Soap rinses off easy and face feels great afterwards. Great product from the Netherlands. Have a great day !
