It's like diving into a vat of freshest natural vanilla. It's the smell that hits you when walking into a Ben & Jerry's ice cream shoppe. None of that cloying sharpness of synthetic vanillas. Delicious. And, suffice it to say, a fine fine base. A fine fine shave.
Truly believe this to be king of soaps at moment. Nothing compares. It outrageous cost but great value as one usage reveals where every cent went. Love my samples, including your provision.

Look at the label. That toasted paprika background tells you Mandarino Fumo is going to be a very dark fragrance. It reminds me of dried chilis roasting on the comal until they’re almost black. I can see why Frank considers this an autumn scent. But doggone, I can’t wait for the chilly air and the golden leaves. I want some Fumo now. So for today’s shave I had to do something to lift the scent and make it suitable for a bright summer day. Solution? I added a wee dab of Ethos Blood Orange shaving cream to Mandarino Fumo. Wow! It really brought out the citrus notes and brightened up the scent overall. I loved the result so much, I took three full laps around my chops, something I hardly ever get away with anymore. My cheeks will probably be chiding me later on, but man, it was worth it.

Funny you mixed the 2 as was about to do that for tomorrow's shave!
Interesting it worked as hoped as my attempts at blending soaps rarely come to a good end.
Today was a heck of a day. Went on a really nice drive to catch some fresh air. I've been dealing with covid and allergies for the past couple weeks but feeling over the covid now. Very comfortable weather today and this evening.
When I got back from the drive, I had a delivery waiting for me that wasn't supposed to get here till Monday... The first of two shipments from Ethos!
Funny that Bouki, Dan, and I had the same mindset: mixology.
I just couldn't decide which to use first, so I did what I believe to be right, I used all four.
Custom F Base - Pine (from my yard)
Custom F Base - Eucalyptus
S Base - Vanilla Safi
Tallow Creme - Blood Orange
They all smell great alone and together. I can't wait till my sniffer is 100% better from the illness to really get the full story.

Wow Bouki! That’s very creative using both aromas and and mixing a soap and a Crème. I’m going to have to try this combo. Maybe when I make the next batch in the Fall I’ll add a little Blood Orange to the formula.
Thank you!

Glad they got there safe and sound. I’m glad to hear your feeling better. Its sure been a tough year health wise for you and I but let’s hope we’ve both turned the page on that story! Sometimes it takes a little while to get your sense of smell back but I’m sure it won’t take long.
So I’m very curious you mixed all 4 shave scents into one shave? Man you and Bouki are both thinking outside that box! Lol
Its was a fun project using the Pine Sap. So thank you my friend for reaching out to me to me to do it. I’m honored!
Feel better!

It didn't get any comments the other day when I posted the clip of Mr. Bearpants, so I am not sure how to impress the audience any more
Spoiled generation this!
I should have made mention of your cinnamon phase back bear vid. That’s never a daily occurrence. Pretty cool.
