Still puzzling over what’s making my lips numb whenever I use this soap, I took at look at the ingredients. No real surprises and nothing unusual, except for the last ingredient, agave tequilana extract. That’s the juice of the blue agave, the same plant used to make tequila. So what’s it doing in a shave soap? Turns out it’s supposed to have moisturizing and softening properties, sort of like aloe vera. No mention of irritation or desensitizing, though.
