Patchouli (Turtleship) patchouli, vetiver, juniper

Straight patchouli, all on its own, can curl your nose hair. The stuff is strong. That’s why the best part of Turtleship’s Patchouli is that it’s not just patchouli. There’s as much vetiver and juniper in the mix as there is skanky earth. These added notes lift the fragrance out of the root cellar. Without them, I’m not sure I’d have the nerve to use this soap every day. With them, though, I could see this soap becoming a week-long pleasure. And there’s certainly nothing wrong with the lather. Thick and yoghurty, it gives a great shave. I’m surprised we don’t see more of Turtleship around here.

Thanks Bouki for reminding to reach for Turtleship. Wonderful EO soaps in a great base. Turtleship is not on the forums or social media anymore. Mike’s Natural isn’t either and we see less of his soaps posted as well these days. Not their only livelihood and really a hobby. Refreshing.
The Lime is perfect but I see the new Iceberg soap would also be a great fit as I start this sweltering Vermont weekend.

Turtleship Bay Rum
Yes, great base - with my favorite ingredients: tallow, shea, jojoba, & lanolin. Creamy low profile okra snot lather! I have 4 of these pux, and the coconut is my favorite. You will see it tomorrow!
