Very nice citrusy scent with rosemary. Fun again with this base when married with the Plisson... in part, at least, because I can go brush crazy on my cheeks and not worry about lather flying into my eyes, so a nice base to use when you want a nice face scrub.

Finished with a splash of Arlington (sample), of which I'll DEFINITELY be getting a large bottle soon.

Pretty for a couple days, then the flowers die... And no scent... So not my kind of ornament.
Their only saving grace is that they've spread like weeds on that side of my driveway.

I too wish poppies lasted longer but when they are in showy bloom they are awesome.
They do tend to produce blooms constantly and their season also last pretty long
They do seem to be holding up better than last year, when they literally bloomed and died in the same week and never came back, hahaha!

Not sure how to take the last journalist comment (with which I suspect I might not agree). But, rather, to return to the point of this thread: today was my nearly last shave of T+S Indian Bay. Getting low, low, low.

Bay Rum (Barrister & Mann) orangey bay rum

No mad science today. Just straight up bay rum, and one of my favorites at that. When it was new, Barrister & Mann’s Bay Rum smelled too much like spiced orange juice. It was sort of gaggy. But now it’s had a few years to air out (I keep it in a wood bowl without a lid), and it smells just about right. The bay itself has come to the fore, while all the sweet bits have faded into a tart sauce that enriches the spiciness of the pimenta.

And now for some heresy. It looks like heavy double-edged razors just aren’t my bag any more, at least not every day. After four straight outings with a Bic Twin Select disposable razor, my skin is feeling much, much better. The irritation that pestered me for months is gone. In fact, this plastic razor is so light I have no sensation that I’m actually shaving. I call it my tickle stick.

I'm not sure about that nickname for the razor.

I really do t understand why this product (Dr Selby shaving cream) is not still available.  It’s neon green color is alluring.  It’s scent rides a fine line between medicinal and therapeutic. It jumps into a fine grained, medium structure lather at a whisper from the brush.  It has a remarkably light, fresh finish.  And it appears to be gone.  If anyone has connections in Uruguay could you hook a brother up?
I’ve had this tub for a couple of years now and I’m grateful to own it.  It’s called a cream but it’s hard like unto a triple milled soap.   It truly is so very easy to get the lather right and the lavender scent is more “whole plant” than just flower.  I still have a big lump of it but I have so many soaps that it’s not in jeopardy of an early demise anyway.
